Google For Attracting Clients

Computer_typing_2 If you found this writing blog, you probably were directed here from my infamous Google Ad.

Google has two effective advertising programs.  In this post, I’ll explain Google Adsense and how that may or may not benefit someone who has a writing business.

========================================================================

Google AdSense allows you create a space for outside advertisers to appear on your website or blog.  This has been an excellent tool for me to use with my talk radio program (www.windowstowellness.com) because it allows my visitors to see advertisements on my site for products that are relevant to my topics (that I am not selling myself).  Google pays me each time someone clicks on one of these ads.

As a writer, however, I choose not to use Google AdSense on my writing website and writing blog, because it can send a potential client to a competitor’s website with just a click of the mouse.  In other words, John Doe, another writer, may have an advertisement on my site that will pull potential customers away.  It’s just smart business to keep customers on your site, and not distract them with competitor advertising.
