Eulogy For My Best Friend – Grace Halloran

Grace Halloran (my dearest friend) made her transition in May of 2005.  I was devastated.  Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to live my life without her  – her wonderful voice only a phone call away, her smile that would light up a room in seconds, and her warm heart that could literally melt a glacier.  Although blind, Grace was famous for her healing program for people with serious eye disorders.  She reached thousands of people through her book Amazing Grace – Autobiography of a Survivor and from her Visual Healing Program.  People all over the world will miss her for her compassion, her genuineness and for her support.  Following is a eulogy that I wrote in her honor.

Remembering Grace

My heart aches over the huge loss that I feel.

She was a jewel that shone across oceans into the hearts of so many.

She was a star that gave hope to millions more.

She was an adventurer, ready to hop a plane in a heartbeat and offer assistance to those in need.

She was an impressive educator with a smile that flooded your heart.

She was a gifted writer who could weave a story that left you breathless.

She was a friend who offered encouragement when you needed it most.

She was my long lost sister who opened up a whole new family for me that time and distance will not deny.

She was my role model, my mentor and my best friend.

We openly shared our dreams – Grace & I –   and what I admired the most was her genuineness and her style – taking risks, stepping out of her comfort zone, offering her knowledge to total strangers in an effort to empower their hearts and lift their spirits.

When I think of what she accomplished, my heart soars with pride and I feel gratitude that yes, you CAN accomplish your dreams!

I know that Grace is still with us.  Her “larger than life” presence can be felt for miles.  Feel her now, wrapping her arms around us and drying our tears.

Now she is free to work even more miracles from the other side.

I will never forget her kindness, her genuineness, her humor, and her wonderful healing voice.  She could move mountains with that wonderful voice!

She was my nurturer, my confidant and my dearest friend.

I lift my heart to her in honor, and with joy, knowing that she is finally free.

And if I experience just a tiny drop of the happiness she feels now, I will consider myself so fortunate to be alive.

I will always love you Grace. I look forward to your continued Guidance and the highly anticipated electric moment when we will meet again.

    Linda,
I’m trying to help my Mom, find a physican in Austin, TX that utilizes the TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)
treatment for Macular Degeneration. I found that, in the past, Grace was very involved with research and treatment utilizing this protocol.

My Mom has already used this with success in the past, but has just moved to Austin, so is looking for a physician that uses this form of treatment to connect with. I had a hope that perhaps she might have shared some “fellow practitioners” list with you.

    My thanks in advance, Tia

I met Grace years ago. She was such a nice lady. I also have her book. I am shocked to see that she has passed away. My husband (Jim)and I were friends with her son, Kevin, they were in the Air Force together. We lost contact with him and I was trying to locate him when I found this page. The last we heard of him he was stationed in Texas. Any information you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you, Dawn

I worked with Grace, I laughed with Grace, I looked for Grace, I found Grace, I loved Grace. Grace Halloran was my Birth Mother. As a child I lived in a colorful and fulfilling world of imagination and Grace was always there with me. When I met her in the Physical at the age of 22 my life was enriched with so much love and acceptance. The first time I saw her beautiful face and felt her warm heart I was able to see myself for the very first time. I am thankful for all of the kind words and remembrance for my Mother Grace. I know she can now see all of the amazing colors in the sky that I used to describe to her and all of the beautiful people she so dearly loved. Until we meet again.
